Hi everyone, a new cell paper reported the world's biggest genome size (40G), so i wonder is there a website can proviede genome size sorted by genome size. I want to know the genome size between different species (like insects, plants or mammals). Thank you all

The largest genome is that of Paris japonica, it is about 150 Gb. The genome size you mentioned is of the largest assembled genome, not of the largest genome at all.

I don't know about other taxons, but for plants there is Plant C-values Database

NCBI has a browser for this with almost 60.000 genomes, see

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/genome/browse/#!/overview/

This seems to be based on those genomes being sequenced and with a BioProject identifier assigned to it.

In addition to the previously mentioned PlantC-values Database, there is the Animal Genome Size Database
