Mean sample depth?

I am new to the SNP world and I am trying to understand the output of the SNP calling. I can't understand what the mean sample depth is.

For giving answer of the queseion, there will be need of details like sequencing platform, SNPs calling tools etc. Mean sampe depth is a the average coverage/ sequencing depth. Details here.
