VCF to bcf conversion; vcf file header missing

Could you please suggest me how can I add contig header into the vcf file

$ vcftools --vcf ZZ_ZW_BiSnps.recode.vcf --recode-bcf --contigs header.txt

Parameters as interpreted:
    --vcf ZZ_ZW_BiSnps.recode.vcf
    --contigs header.txt
    --recode-bcf
After filtering, kept 69 out of 69 Individuals
