Hello, I would like to have a quick look on the conservation of specific genomic locations among species listed on Ensembl. In particular, I am interested in viewing the variations of the genes' positions. Given the fact that the gene names vary among genomes, I thought that visualizing somehow their description (i.e. Sox transcription factor, or something similar) would have helped me in this preliminar web overview. How to visualize the gene descriptions directly in the maps of the Ensembl Genome Browser? Is it possible? Should I set something in the "Configure this page" panel?

I think Genomicus might be what you are looking for (synteny comparison between genomes).
