Hey there! I am a student of microbiology and very much interested in bioinformatics. I want to work with anyone for bioinformatics to gather experience. I am a newbie. Give me some work I will spend my free time for you. you choose what should do first.
I appreciate the enthusiasm but your post comes of very naive and your writing does not inspire too much confidence. If you want to learn bioinformatics read a few papers then try to follow the data analyses therein. Review/comparison type articles work the best.
thanks a lot. i have studied 2 books on bioinformatics and 6 books on genetics. 1. bioinformatics an intoduction by Aurthur M Lesk 2. Bioinformatics for Dummies i want to read more please refer me some.
I would suggest you look for nice recent papers on a topic that excites you and which makes use of bioinformatics. Then get the data, and re-do the analyses by following the Methods section of the paper.
This will help you see how the data is analysed and see if you can reproduce the steps and get (similar enough) results. It will also help you gain experience with data analysis.
The second possibility is to read a lot more papers on the topics you are interested in, see what questions remain to be addressed, but might be solved with the data that is publicly available. Then get the data you need, and try to address that question.
thanks for your advice.
