Daniel MacArthur, Chris Gunter, and a lot of other people you might know are at this NHGRI meeting that is live-streaming right now. They are discussing ways to proceed with human variation studies, improving database resources for this, and more.

I haven't been able to watch every minute, but what I have seen has been high quality and very compelling.
