Hello,
I have been lurking for some time on biostar now and have recently decided to create some content to post here. I have been testing second-generation sequencing pre-processing software (i.e reads cleaning) and wanted to write a review about it in the form of an open question. Instead of opening a blog that no one would read, I thought here would be the ideal place to start a discussion.
So I wrote it, but it was refused on submission with the error message:
• Your content is too long 13457 characters. The maximum is 10000.
• Ensure this value has at most 10000 characters (it has 13459).
Knowing I'm not a spam bot and have no plans to abuse the system, could we find a way to make the post nonetheless? Maybe this content length limit should be rethought?
Thanks
Not sure if QA is the right format for this. It might be very interesting content though. Maybe it could fit in the tools section. You could break up the content, into the 'question' part, e.g. as an introduction, then post an answer for each tool, or make a new tool entry for each tool. Another possible approach would be to make an external blog, and promote it under "Planet" section here. Let's see what Istvan and other mods think.
Yeah, maybe your right, I'll just make a blog post and link it in Planet.
sorry about that - I can raise that limit, it had to be some limit and none of the posts were that long before so I just added a number that seemed big enough. I can raise it to a larger value.
