Ola!

Is there a interactive web application/page which keeps track of what is the homology or Genetic similarity of human/mouse genome with other species plus flora including the variability factors like sex, origin, variations in the genome, evolution etc. I could find this information spread over lot of different resources but not in one place.

Are you talking about homology across all organisms? I would think there is such phylogenetic breadth that this type of viewer would be problematic? Something like USCS genome browser for all organisms with metadata?

Yeah, If not visually may be just in numbers, a genome browser with a window for all organisms with all metadata will be quite advanced and sophisticated.

Although it's a tough computational nut to crack, it sounds like where we are going with data integration and I can't wait to see it all happen.

Sure and I have a feeling either its done to some extent or some one is already doing it :)

I'm not sure if you need to compare entire genomes at once, or only regions of interest.

VISTA contains a couple of tools multiple DNA sequence alignment data that may be helpful to you that allow cross-species comparisons:

mVISTA and also Phylo-VISTA

Alex, I don't want to compare them myself but would like to see if some resource is up to date and contains information about these comparisons.
