Anybody Needs Just Reverse (Not Reverse Complement) Action?

There are now many websites that could reverse complement your sequence. Since the old times some of these also offer the feature just to reverse the sequence (not to complement). While technically it is very easy implement, I wonders, if there are any practical cases where such operation would be required. I talk about end user pages containing a web form and posting the answer, not about general purpose libraries.

In primer design to check for dimers and whatnots although most tools nowadays come with these options)?

I use echo 'NNNNNNNNNN' | rev quite a bit when I want to make a primer diagram such as:

5'-------------AGCTGTTTGAACC--------------------------------------------------------3'
3'----------------------------------------------------------TGGGCTGAATTGC-----------5'

If you are dealing with SOLiD two-base encoded sequences, reverse complementing in base space is equivalent to simply reversing the sequence in color-space.
