hi, i'm pulling dbsnp ids (rsid) from two different datasets that use different versions of dbsnp (132 versus 137), both of which include SNP chromosome coordinates. i was wondering what dangers lie in mixing rsids from different versions together? thanks

If the versions of dbsnp use the same assembly I'm not quite sure how LiftOver helps.

The most immediate problems would arise from different genomic builds if that is the case as Sudeep commented see: How to map SNP profile from dbSNP build 131 to 132?
