Plink: Database Lookup

does anybody know if the web database lookup for plink 1.07 is still working. I'm always getting the following message.

As far as I can see in the sources of plink, it tries to connect to the following URL:

http://pngu.mgh.harvard.edu:80/~purcell/cgi-bin/gene.pl?win=20000&gene=DISC1

but it takes forever, even for the simple "http://pngu.mgh.harvard.edu:80/~purcell/cgi-bin/gene.pl" , so I think the problem comes from the server side.

I too have the same problem. Has anyone solved this issue?

Consider using other tools for gene lookups.
