I can't seem to find a version of the SEG program to download, is it no longer available? or can someone please suggest another program that can be used to identify low complexity regions in a protein?

try here: ftp://ftp.ncbi.nih.gov/pub/seg/seg/

i thought that blast had a masking feature for "low complexity" regions (dustmasker?), maybe check that out too.
