Is it possible for multiple CDSs to be mapped to a single gene in a GenBank entry? I'm interested in the case of eukaryiotes where genes undergo alternative splicing and can have multiple protein products. Could you provide an example in case it exists?

I've also been looking at the same gene (BRCA2) from two databases.

This is entry from Ensembl: Ensembl_BRCA2. It states that the gene has 6 transcripts.

This is the entry from GenBank: GenBank_BRCA2. I don't see any transcripts for this gene in GenBank (only one CDS).

Am I able to retrieve different transcripts somewhere else?

David's example is over different genes. NG_005990.1 is an example with multiple transcripts and CDSs listed for genes KIR2DL4 and KIR3DL2.

That's what I've been looking for, thanks!

Genbank's sample record has multiple CDS entries.(The same recod in genbank proper)

Martijn's answer showed a great example of how GenBank records report multiple transcripts and protein products but there is a very important gotcha to be aware of. There is NO explicit or implicit association made between a CDS entry and its corresponding mRNA. The CDS feature entry contains no mRNA ID and if you think you can match them up based on the order of the mRNA and CDS entries, sorry, there is no guarantee that they will match. The only way to be confident of the CDS<->mRNA association is to perform an Entrez query of the CDS GI and parse the mRNA GI from that.
