The full HR-approved job description is linked below, but the bottom line is that we're doing some fantastically interesting cancer genomics projects here at TGI and we're looking for some awesome bioinformaticians to contribute to the effort. If you like the idea of using petabytes of data from thousands of tumors to improve the way we diagnose and treat cancer patients, we'd love to have you on board.
It's hugely rewarding work that results in a lot of high-profile publications and a we have great group of collaborators, both within Washington University and at many external institutions.

Essential Functions:
- design and evaluation of analysis plans for sequencing-based projects studying the genetic basis of cancer, tumor clonality, tumor progression, tumor treatment response and other cancer-related studies.
- Cooperation with computer scientists to implement analysis pipelines for automated analysis of high throughput sequencing data.
- Interpretation and integration of genetic and epigenetic changes in cancer including mutations, gene expression data, epigenetic modification, copy number and - structural variation.
- Integrated pathway and gene network analysis.
- Development of new analysis tools that give insight into cancer
- Interaction with teams of diverse internal and external collaborators including oncologists, computer scientists, biologists, and other geneticists/statisticians.

Chris. Since there are several open bioinformatics positions at TGI. I wonder if it would make sense to have one general "Bioinfo jobs at TGI" posting which links to the individual adverts and gives an overview and explains the different nature of the positions?
I think each position deserves it's own post with a new title/description. People may only be interested in postdoc or staff positions, etc.
I agree. Wasn't suggesting to eliminate individual adverts. Merely to also add a post which is general call out to potential hires pointing out variety of positions available and linking to those posts.
