Is the human chromosome 17 special in any way that the most used versions of the human genome already contain the start and end sequences for it, right from the beginning and right until the end?
Is it a chromosome with special biology or history to it, maybe with no telomeric repeats or some reason that made the sequence determination of its tips easier than the other chromosomes?
Repeat of this question: why chr17 does not have telomeres? If so some nice answer there
What a cool question - I never noticed that before :)
