Time for the periodic traffic report ;-)
I was recently asked about how many bioinformaticians might be out there, and how many of them visit Biostar in a single day. Then the question turned to whether we saturate already. This prompted me to do a year-over-year comparison over the month of September. Turns out there seem to be tens of thousands of us out there and about five thousand visit in a day. Moreover we get twice as many unique visitors as the year before.
Then occurred to me, the bioinformatics community itself is not a static entity, it is growing and fast. As long as the site is useful we won't probably ever saturate.
So the conclusion of this graph : during weekends bioinformatician are sleeping ( or partying )
Is this the same trend if you add 2011 data as well ?
