i didnt get the meaning of the command heatmap.2(mat, trace = "none", col = rev(hmcol), margin=c(13,13))

what is the meaning of rev(hmcol) ?

This is sort of a help(heatmap.2) situation. In short, col= set the colors that heatmap2 will use and their order. hmcol is a vector of colors so rev(hmcol) just reverses them. There's a default for this, though usually you'll find people replace it with something more visually interesting.
