MalariaGEN Principal Bioinformatician
Location: The Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics, University of Oxford, UK
Closing date: 4 Nov. 2013
We have an opportunity for a MalariaGEN Principal Bioinformatician to take a key role in our bioinformatics programme, specifically in the project management of one or more data analysis pipelines relating to genome sequencing, genotyping and population genetic data from Plasmodium, Anopheles and human populations. You will have a good first degree in a scientific, computing or numerate subject with postdoctoral or equivalent professional experience working in a bioinformatics role. Strong communication skills and willingness to work collaboratively in a team setting are essential.
This position is funded by the Wellcome Trust and is available for 2 years in the first instance.

MalariaGEN Bioinformatician

You will work closely with other informatics and analysis specialists in our team and with partners within and beyond the Institute. You will have a good first degree in a scientific, computing or numerate subject with experience of applied statistics and statistical computing. Strong communication skills and willingness to work collaboratively in a team setting are essential.
