Hi all,
I'm looking for the good review paper which cover all possible families of microRNA and their roles in different cancers . I also want to know the state of art bioinformatics work for microRNA function in different cancers.
Hi all,
I'm looking for the good review paper which cover all possible families of microRNA and their roles in different cancers . I also want to know the state of art bioinformatics work for microRNA function in different cancers.
For your first question, I, unfortunately, am not aware of a recent pan-miRNA review in the cancer context, yet I do know there are a few databases out there that provide lists of miRNAs, such as:
TUMIR - http://www.ncrnalab.com/TUMIR/ NCG - http://bio.ieo.eu/ncg/index.php and many more: http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=mirna+cancer+database&btnG=&hl=en&as_sdt=0%2C33&as_ylo=2009
For your second question, I suggest you read this recent Pan-Cancer paper on miRNAs that came out of the The Cancer Genome Atlas effort:
You can use starBase Pan-Cancer miRNA that is designed for deciphering Pan-Cancer Networks of miRNAs, lncRNAs, ceRNAs and RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) by mining clinical and expression profiles of 14 cancer types (>6000 samples) from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) Data Portal (all data available without limitations).
starBase generated Pan-Cancer miRNA-lncRNA and miRNA-mRNA interactions.
Pan-Cancer miRNA-mRNA interactions can be available at http://starbase.sysu.edu.cn/targetSite.php

that's great man .
