Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has used BRIG (Blast Ring Image Generator) previously?

I am trying to make a "mapping coverage" circular genome starting with a .sam file. Everything looks fine except there are mysterious blue spikes (please see attachment posted on SeqAnswers http://seqanswers.com/forums/showthread.php?p=128246) appearing on the "upside" of the ring.

Does anyone know what they are, and how to get rid of them?

Thanks Joyce

I don't know for sure but what I experienced on another occasion was that the color set for that ring was overridden by the default color. Try to set the default color to the purple that you are using in this ring. Btw.: Do you know how to adjust the colors for GC-Skew?

Hey psusa64 sorry I saw your message just now! No I don't, I gave it a try and it automatically gave me purple and green. Speaking of which, do you know the difference between GC Content and GC Skew? And what is the difference between the upper and lower track for GC Content? I assume it means 50% GC content but am not sure. Thanks!
