Hi,

I have the frequencies of binary patterns of polar and non-polar residues in strands of anti-parallel beta-hairpins from 5 different sets of anti-parallel beta-hairpins. I want to know how can I quantify the similarity or difference between the frequencies of binary patterns among those 5 sets of beta-hairpins. Are there any statistical methods?

Just to inform further that I calculated the correlation between the frequencies of the patterns between those sets and found the correlation cofficient between 0.85 to 0.95 and concluded that the binary patterns are similar among the 5 sets of anti-parallel beta-hairpins ?? Is this correct ??
