Dr. H. Phillip Koeffler, Professor of Medicine and Senior Principal Investigator at Cancer Science Institute in Singapore is looking for a bright, energetic individual with superior bioinformatics skill in order to interact with approximately 10 post-docs and 4 Ph.D. students, each of them are doing massively parallel sequencing of various tumors, RNA-Seq, Chip-Seq, RNA array as well as combing the bioinformatics literature for hot leads. There is no doubt that this individual will be extremely productive being a co-author on numerous manuscripts.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- The candidate should have a Bachelor or Master degree. in Computational Biology,Bioinformatics, Genetics or a related field.
- Advanced capability and research experience with a biostatistical package such as R/bioconductor and a scripting language such as Perl/bioPerl or Python/bioPython.
- Scientific background, good understanding of genetics and genomics.
- Ability to handle large quantitative datasets and analyses.
- Familiarity with genomic data, tools, and datasets.
