Mendelian vs Inherited variants

Is a mendelian variant the same as inherited variant or mendelian variants are those which are associated with some pathogenicity and may cause diseases etc?

I would never say "a mendelian variant" - "mendelian" is not a property of the variant but a property of the disease. So inherited is the variant that was passed from one of the parents, mendelian is the variant that has some relation to Mendelian diseases, however it is (IMO) an incorrect terminology.
