I want to use 16s rRNA sequencing data to predict human gut microbiome metabolic pathways. In some researches, people use computational method the establish genome-scale metabolic reconstruction to study genotype-phenotype relationship. So, is that possible to use 16s rRNA sequencing data to predict human these kind of metabolic pathways? Is there any tools that I can use to help me to achieve this goal? Any useful suggestions would be appreciated.

It is possible to use some tools, such as PiPhillin (Sencond Genonome), PiCrust and TAX4Fun. Afterwards, treat the data with the R! Software.
