I was checking for annotations in the MaGe - Genome Browser (https://mage.genoscope.cns.fr/microscope/mage/viewer.php?) and came across the term "fCDS". Can anyone please explain me the difference between fCDS and CDS? I already know what is CDS. Not sure about fCDS.

Thanks in advance.

This means fragmented CDS. It is missing either the beginning (with start codon) or the End (with stop codon) or both of the CDS. I do not know if it is officially accepted in sequence ontology.

Don't think it is accepted by sequence ontology.

It's called CDS_fragment it seems: http://www.sequenceontology.org/browser/current_release/term/SO:0001384

Thanks Juke34 and lieven.sterck. I will check the sequence ontology for more details.
