TRINITY tool installation help

Hello everyone

I was trying to install Trinity tool . I have downloaded and extracted the file .

next step given in many manuals are ./configure option

but it gives the result no such file or directory

I am trying to install it in our institution server system through putty

I am new to linux

anyone please help me on this

Have you just tried doing

$ make

as instructed here.

If you are a new linux user it may be wise to get help from your systems administrators with this install.

Yes I simply attempted the same

but before this make command there was ./configure in some manuals so I followed that

Try installing using the command

sudo apt install trinityrnaseq

This is an old thread so if you were looking to install trinity easy way it would probably be best to use conda at this point (conda install -c bioconda trinity). Using this method rather than apt install will ensure that you will get current version of trinity.
