Hi I converted my .bcl files to .fastq.gz using Illumina software bcl2fastq which takes care of demultiplexing and adapter removal. after getting the fastq files I checked the quality using the FASTQC tool which gave unsual kind of box plots so I am not sure if my sequences were properly demultiplexed and adapter removal was done without any fault. I am attaching an image of how the plot looks like after analyzing in the fastqc report, it does not have yellow region the box region it only has the whiskers. Please tell me by seeing the image that is this something to be worried about.

Thanks Saraswati

looks good - the boxes are not visible because you have mostly high quality reads (compare Elements of a boxplot)
