Hi everyone!
This is my very first time posting here.
I'm working on a project on a region called "the X-transposed" region, that's on the chromosome Y. This is a 3 Mb region that is located on chromosome X, and that originated from a duplication from chromosome X.
I except it should be appear as a CNV gain on CNV databases? Could any here find it? I haven't been able to...
Thank you so much !
Alex
Hi,
why would it appear as a CNV? =) The copy-number of PAR region is the same in males and females =) Usually these regions are excluded from calling.

Thank you very much for your answer!
Actually the X-transposed region is another region that the PAR1 and 2 regions. But indeed, it's really similar, and the copy-number of the X-transposed should be the same in males and females !
Could you think of a way to check it the flanking regions of this X-transposed regions are the same in all humans?
Thanks a million !
Alex
