I got the whole-genome sequencing data of Chimpanzee genome from other members in my laboratory. The sample ID were APE113 and APE114. but these people did not know where the data came from and the original paper. Is there any one known which publication release the data?
If none of them can tell you were the data came from (publication or public repo or ... ) I would very reluctant to use it anyway.
What can be the value of data you don't know the origin from?
You could look up the original chimpanzee paper and see what data they released for it (and if any of them might point to the data you have)? Or look into the public repositories?
