Hi everybody,
I may have a strange question : I've found an Arabidopsis.gtf annotation file in my folders for which I can't track back its origin. I guess it is from Araport11 as mentioned, so I've checked all files proposed on the official website : https://www.arabidopsis.org/download/index-auto.jsp?dir=%2Fdownload_files%2FGenes%2FAraport11_genome_release However, I just can't find where I've acquired it...
It is specific in the sense it only accounts for transcripts and exons.
Someone have an idea? (I've checked all my self-emails, notes, history ... I get nothing) I can't find a copy of that file in the actual list of the site and it brings extra information compared to others (miRNA informations)
I joined a picture of the annotation, and its size is of 62 298 878 octets. Sadly, no header can help, it only contains annotations.
Perhaps one of you worked with that precise file!
Thanks anyway!
Did you filter the file after acquiring it? That can certainly explain the difference. GFF file (I checked one) appear to contain miRNA transcripts.
Thank you for your reply. I thought about it, but I can not explain that filtration if I did. What is interpellating me the most is the "transcript ... exon, exon, exon" construction that I can find back in Araport template. At the time I downloaded it I had no reason to filter and modify that much the structure of the annotations
