Dear all,

OMICtools is a new educational website for genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and metabolomic data analysis. All tools have been classified by omic technologies (NGS, microarray, PCR, MS, NMR).

OMICtools can help

  1. experimental researchers/clinicians find appropriate tools for their needs
  2. developers to stay up to date and to avoid redundancy
  3. funding agencies to ensure that the submitted projects are high value-added.

Comments, questions and information about missing software are most welcome.

Regards,
Arnaud Desfeux

I just learned about STATSARRAY and OMICtools recently. OMICtools is a very comprehensive and well-organized list. STATSARRAY looks like a useful service for those looking to make sense of their NGS data in the context of Proteomics data, functional genomics data etc.

neat visualization though I wonder how they deal with adding newer and newer tools with possibly conflicting names.

New update: Publications that compare software are added in OMICtools. The goal is to help you to select the best programs!

I have added a new category in OMICtools for Sanger sequencing. Relatively few nonproprietary software tools are available to assist with this process. Please tell me if you know other software.

A new interface has been established to allow anyone to rate a tool, ask a question and report a problem for a specific tool. Do not hesitate to participate!
