zsh: exec format error: bigWigToWig

I am trying to convert a bigWig file to a wig file to then a bed file. When I use the command bigWigToWig in my terminal, I am getting this error: zsh: exec format error: bigWigToWig. I have downloaded the command from https://hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/admin/exe/linux.x86_64/ . Not sure what to do!

If you are on a Mac then this is not the right executable. You will need to download Mac executable from here: https://hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/admin/exe/macOSX.x86_64/ You may still run in to library errors if you are using latest BigSur OS.

Your best bet is to use conda to install. conda install -c bioconda ucsc-bigwigtowig

just for random reference, brew install brewsci/bio/kent-tools may also work as a source of these tools
