Hello everyone, I got these images from a senior student. I don't know how to interpret this graph. I know that its referring to minor allele frequency distribution. But why there is sharp peak near one and then there is decline.
For this graph, I know its showing the count of indel for chr1. but I don't understand the X axis. Why is it negative? If anyone can help me in understanding these graphs it would be really helpful
Positive part of the X axis is for insertions (additions) and the negative part for deletions (subtractions). Small InDels are most prevalent as one would expect.
I also think you should ask the person who made the graphs to interpret them. This is a second or third time on Biostars that I have seen a similar question asked of community instead of the original author. Unless they are deceased, I don't see a problem in getting the information directly.
Okay, I will do that. Thank You.
