Is there any way to use a small font size in questions or answers? That is, for the purpose of minor and possibly irrelevant information?

I've checked the Markdown syntax but couldn't find anything. However, I feel I've seen it on the site somewhere...I have seen a website Fonts Monster in which I see very different types of font styles but I can't find the smallest font in this very type of font but.......

You can use HTML tags, and those allow for changing font faces and sizes. For example,

This is in a different font size

EDIT: Looks like custom CSS does not work, which makes sense as the site focuses more on content with basic emphasis on formatting.

markdown, by default does not support font sizing, and while extensions to add those features do exist we have not implemented them on the site.

overall adding additional formatting feature would add to complexity and would need to produce sufficient benefits to be worth implementing
