Metagenomics and Metatranscriptomics (on-site and remote) December 13 - December 17, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Explore metagenomics and metatranscriptomics in this brand new course from the UC Davis Bioinformatics Core and an exciting slate of guest speakers! Registration fees are $1,000 for current UC students, faculty, and staff, $1,200 for other academic and non-profit, and $1,700 for other participants.

Here is a sneak peak of our 2022 workshops!

Introduction to the Command Line for Bioinformatics (remote) January 31 – February 4 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm Get off to a good start in bioinformatics with this three-part online workshop in the use of the command line interface. This workshop lays the foundation for successful bioinformatics experiments, including RNA-Seq, single cell RNA-Seq, genome assembly, GWAS, variant analysis, epigenetics and more. Registration fees are $300 for current UC students, faculty and staff, $450 for other academic and non-profit, and $600 for other participants.

Introduction to R for Bioinformatics (remote) February 1 - February 11 9:00 am – 12:00 pm This three-part online workshop in R is designed to help biologists with no data analysis experience get up to speed with the R programming language as it is used for bioinformatics, including RNA-Seq, single cell RNA-Seq, and more. Registration fees are $300 for current UC students, faculty and staff, $450 for other academic and non-profit, and $600 for other participants.

Single Cell RNA-Seq Analysis (on-site) March 21 - March 24 9:00 am - 5:00 pm This three-day online workshop covers experimental design, data generation, and analysis of single cell RNA sequencing data. Participants will explore a single cell experiment using the command line and R, create and modify workflows, and diagnose and treat problematic data utilizing high performance computing services. The primary packages used for analysis will be 10x software for sequence reads to counts, and the R package Seurat for downstream analysis. Registration fees are $1,500 for current UC students, faculty, and staff, $1,750 for other academic and non-profit, and $3,000 for other participants.
