How do you interpret GO enrichment results from BINGO plugin in Cytoscape? There are many repetitive GO terms and simple terms e.g. Biological Process. Is there a way to reduce these repetitive terms? I am new to BINGO and GO analysis so any guidance will be really helpful. Thank you!

not sure for the BiNGO approach but perhaps you can go with GOslim annotations? Those should be less 'redundant'

Greetings,

I would recommend using stringApp rather than BiNGO if you want to remove redundant terms. stringApp has a feature that allows you to filter the ontologies used and to remove the redundant terms (using Jaccard similarity).

Thank you so much. I tried String and ClueGO and it helped me a lot.
