Dear community,
in order to access primary data from TCGA, it is important to prove in the application, that their data will be saved in an encrypted way on the local institutional computer. Does anyone know specifically how this can be solved? Is it enough just to state that e.g. the RNAseq data will be placed on our university server or some external hard disk drive? What does TCGA expect from their applicants?
I would be glad for any help!
I think this is summarized in section 6 of:
https://www.cancer.gov/about-nci/organization/ccg/research/structural-genomics/tcga/history/policies/tcga-data-use-certification-agreement.pdf
This is from 2014, maybe there is an updated version. But this should be included in the documents you get when requesting access afair.
