How to find Human Assemblies fasta files in Ensembl?

I am looking for the fasta reference file for the human assembly build 37 (annotation release 104) and for the human reference build 37.1 (not sure if they are the same)

I think I would have to use the archive site at GRCh37 (grch37.ensembl.org) and then the following: http://ftp.ensembl.org/pub/grch37/release-104/fasta/homo_sapiens/dna/

and there I would have to download Homo_sapiens.GRCh37.dna.primary_assembly.fa.gz

My questions are:

  • a) Is this the correct fasta file for the assembly I am looking for?
  • b) Is this the same as the human reference build 37.1? If not, where can this be found in Ensembl?

Thank you!

Thank you for your reply. May I ask an additional question? Is there some sort of reference-website somewhere where you find conversion tables between builds (such as 37.1) and releases (such as 104)? How do people know if they are the same? Thank you!

Ensembl has a table available here that relates assembly builds to Ensembl releases: https://m.ensembl.org/info/website/archives/assembly.html
