Illumina's stated policy has been that sequence one gets should be equivalent irrespective of the model of sequencer/chemistry used. That is largely true for most applications.

HiSeq sequencers have been discontinued and will go end-of-life in next couple of years. HiSeq 2000 and 2500 used normal flowcells. HiSeq 4000, X introduced patterned flowcells (with nano-wells) that increased the data yields significantly. They all used 4-color chemistry. Illumina seems to have scrubbed all information about HiSeq sequencers from their site but if you search around you can find old blog posts and specs.
