Hello.
This character made some issues when I used Genbank files' contents.
Here an example of '>' usage in a Genbabk file:
gene 957467..>957886
/locus_tag="BME_RS04610"
/old_locus_tag="BMEI0926"
I couldn't find what '>' signifies. Does anyone knows?
incomplete one is represented by ">" at the end for 3', not in between as user post.
edit: @ vkkodali is correct. Here is the copy/pasted text from NCBI resources with example:
Regardless of the position of
>
at the end as in435..915>
or in between as in4821..>5028
,>
implies partial on 3'end.
