Hello Biostars,
I was just wondering, Is there any database that contains operon information of major species such as Human, Mouse etc?
is there any operon in human ? WP " an operon is a functioning unit of genomic DNA containing a cluster of genes under the control of a single promoter."
True. Thanks for clearing the doubt.. :)
I think the comment implies there may not be (or they may be very rare) operons in human in the classical sense, e.g. where they are polycistronic (multiple transcripts being transcribed at once, and then spliced into different genes after transcription). Uniquely though, c.elegans does have many polycistronic operons for a eukaryote.
