Hi. I've been trying to download multiqc using brew install multiqc (on RStudio terminal.) but it returns:

No available formula with the name "multiqc". Did you mean multitime?
==> Searching for similarly named formulae...
This similarly named formula was found:
multitime
To install it, run:
  brew install multitime
==> Searching for a previously deleted formula (in the last month)...
Error: No previously deleted formula found.
==> Searching taps on GitHub...
Error: No formulae found in taps.

I would appreciate it if anyone has any advice. I am very novice. thanks

Use conda if you can.

Yes, conda would work, but I'd rather to know what's the problem with brew.

You could try the solution here https://www.codetd.com/en/article/12614963 Otherwise MultiQC may not be available via brew,

I don't think that MultiQC is available on Homebrew. At least, I haven't added it there (that I remember).

There are many other options (pip, conda, docker, singulairty, some debian package managers etc). If you want to add a recipe for a Homebrew install then I have nothing against that 👍🏻

Thanks for clarifying that. Now I know I didn't do anything wrong. As I said, I am really really naive in data analysis and coding otherwise I'd be more than happy to help the community as well as Homebrew (:
