Why codon W is not installing in my laptop?

Codon W is a programming language for calculation of codon usage indices.

I sourced the program and tried to install in my laptop but it failed as the codonW installer is missing extension for installation. I am getting an error:

#Provisional failure
Installation of a provisioning packaging failed. Please work with the package author to diagnose the problem
  Reported error code: Ox80070057

I am using Windows 10, x64bit

What should be done to incorporate active extension code? I think the installation constraint is a common problem for window users as the software was not originally designed for window users

I think it's best if you try and contact the tool's maintainer/author directly. Might be a bit difficult though since the tool doesn't seem to have been updated/maintained for years now.

Maybe try this instead: https://github.com/smsaladi/codonw-slim.

The email provided in the website isn't active. Please would you help me how do I use the code stipulated in https://github.com/smsaladi/codonw-slim. Note that I am ignorant on how to apply codes from github.

Hi, I think that's something a little bit more involved that we'd best talk over directly. I don't think I can really walk you through this over Biostars. Do you use Skype/Slack?

Thanks for your support. I think if possible, you would prepare a short tutorial and email me. Use of skype yes! but I am exposed to internet connectivity barriers.

Hi, I'll send you a quick email then. (I think you can edit and remove your email ID from here; there's no need to expose it to the internet.)
