I am looking for a recently published list of human RNA-binding proteins (RBP). I run into this page https://rbpbase.shiny.embl.de/. If one chooses the Hs (Homo sapiens) dataset, it contains more than 75000 unique RBP genes. Given that RBPs are protein coding genes, I am wondering why there are so many genes present in that file.
Can anybody explain that ? I thought first they might think about ENSTs i.e transcripts but in the second column they are talking about ENSGs.
If it is not possible to clarify this issue, then do you know of any updated list of human RBPs that one can download ? The list of RBPs that I got from this page http://rbpdb.ccbr.utoronto.ca is not recent. I need a more recent one.
Many thanks.
