A question about code sharing for publication

Hi,

I have a question about sharing your code for publication. Do you share all files of your code? I saw some people only share some key functions. Others share the code even with paths to files, but I do not have these files :( . Is there a guide line for sharing code? Thanks!

Share enough so the analysis you are publishing becomes easily reproducible. If that means sharing all files then that would be the right thing to do.

I think that at the very least the code should allow others to reproduce the original work. It would be nice if it is functional enough for others to use it in their applications.
