Hi! I want to work on a transcriptome dataset. I downloaded the dataset from NCBI database but the file has a .man extension. I do not know how to open the file. Can someone please help?

The dataset is available at https://sra-pub-run-odp.s3.amazonaws.com/sra/SRR3147022/SRR3147022 (~15mb).

you will need to be a bit more specific: what kind of dataset, where did you download it from precisely, how did you download it, ... such information will only increase the usefulness of the replies you might get.

looks like a native NCBI SRA data. Have a look at NCBI sra-tools ?

You should download this dataset (as fastq or fasta files) here: https://trace.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Traces/index.html?view=run_browser&page_size=10&acc=SRR3147022&display=download
