We're an analytics software company working with biopharma/agriculture/industrial biotech clients to provide solutions to their genomics (and typically NGS-related) needs. We're looking for a bioinformatician with experience analyzing NGS-based assays to join our Boston office. Your role would include understanding client goals and training them on effective analysis strategies to meet these. Depending on your background and interests, this may also include performing ad hoc analyses upon request for clients and/or implementing custom functionality for them and/or the core software product.
The team in which you would be working is based in Basel, Switzerland but has a number of other members (including bioinformaticians) in Boston. Further information is available here (https://www.genedata.com/careers/open-positions/detail/application-scientist). If you have any questions please feel free to post them here and I'll try to follow up in the comments.
So the job requires relocating to Boston or is it in Basel ?
Relocating to Boston.
Considering international audience of biostars (from the position description) :
Unless that is not a firm requirement Devon Ryan ?
Interesting, how hard a requirement is it to be already located in U.S.?
Honestly the only real hard requirement there is being able to work in the US, since for legal reasons you'd need to relocate. Whether you're currently there or not is largely immaterial.
I am in Boston and my current position Principal Scientist in IHC, in situ Hybridization. I use Bioinformatics but don't have a formal degree in it. Can I sen you my resume?
