Hi all, at first - sorry for my English, I'm not a native speaker. I have no clue about coding or programes such as R, Python etc and I am new to bioinformatics. I work with Merlin and Haplopainter. The question is that I need to generate somehow a .dat, .map and .ped file for expressing haplotypes in a family (I have a pedigree, results from Sanger senquencing and the SNPs). Previously I already had all the needed the datas in the file so it was easy to work it out. Hope my question is understandable... Can you please somebody explain me how to generate the new datas?

Thank you.

Read the plink manual to understand the formats.

Various tools can be used to generate these files from different sources. For example, you can generate them from a VCF.
