Hi everbody,

I would like to shortly introduce to you the tool my working group developed, the HEXplorer.

  • Helps you to check the sequence surrounding around 5' splice sites for splice enhancing or repressing Splice Regulatory Elements (SREs) nearby.
  • Visualizes the effect of point mutations on the SRP binding properties of a given genomic sequences
  • Calculates intrinsic strength of possible splice donors or acceptors (HBS and maxent score)
  • Validated through various point mutation analysis

You can find some background for the program in this paper.

Hi,

Thanks for the tool, but the link you provided does not work. Was the tool discontinued ?

Best, Pedro
