I'm using Ensembl VeP (variant effect predector) to detect variant effect on some vcf files that I have locally, one of the files is slightly larger in size than 50 MB and that is the maximum size for file upload on vep web interface. But as they said in their webinars that if you upload your file to a public directory and provide the url to the vep web interface, there is no file size limit; I tried uploading my file which is 55 MB to my google drive and also to my dropbox accounts and supplied the copied link at the vep web page but unfortunately was always replying with this error msg :
'The input format is invalid or not recognised. Please click here to find out about accepted data formats.'
any help on how link my file to the vep web ,,, will be highly appreciated and thanks in advance
